Please note that the PatchFusion program was created in 2004 by Syphor knight; and so fourth all credit for 'PatchFusion' goes to him.
Likewise for the program 'PatchMerger' created in 2004 by Graphite; and so fourth, all credit for 'PatchMerger' goes to him.

There may be other possible locations; however the only other site I know no longer hosts the file.

Running the Program

Once you have downloaded the files (either for PatchMerger or PatchFusion); you can run the files remotely from the zip file
Or, you can "unzip" or "extract" the files into a local directory on your system > This is the advised method as you can then easily
access the file at a later date or time.

If you already know how to unzip files then...     Continue to the next step




Sub-section - Unzipping files:
WinZip/WinAce method;  WinRar works the same way as these, other "unzip tools" may have alternate methods.


First; search for the file you have downloaded, depending on your default program used for unzipping; the file may have different icons.
If you see a normal folder with a "Zip" on the left side look further down this page for the Window's Default Extractor file; if not, look below.

If you see either a file that appears like            -WinAce   Or    -WinZip   Then use the methods listed below

[WinAce] - Right click on the file and select "Extract To..."

[WinZip] - Right click on the file, and click once on "WinZip" - then select "Extract To..."

A dialog box will appear, in this box enter where you wish to extract the files to - Generally I suggest a folder named after the program.
PatchFusion:       C:\Program Files\PatchFusion

PatchMerger:       C:\Program Files\PatchMerger

- Click "Ok" to finish and extract the files.

Default Extractor

If you see a default compressed file, - a folder with a zip down the side, then you'd use this method:

Right click on the file you downloaded and click "Extract All..."



A dialog box will appear, in this box enter where you wish to extract the files to - Generally I suggest a folder named after the program.
PatchFusion:       C:\Program Files\PatchFusion

PatchMerger:       C:\Program Files\PatchMerger

Click Next, then on the next screen click on the "Finish" button.

Using the program

Once you have finished installing the program, or have opened the file from the downloaded zip file
    These screenshots are based on PatchFusion,   PatchMerger is very similar and it's symbol's are explained later down.

With the program opened you should now be looking at a screen like the one below:

Looking at this screen or one of a similar nature? yes?  Good.

Our first step on the actural program now then; is to find a patch which you want to start searching for patches from to
either start a new patch on or add-on to an already existing patch file.

To do this; first click on the menu for Source, and click Import...  (In PatchMerger; this is Select Patch)
